TRAINING COURSE LIST
We offer the following courses and training
The X-Ray Image Analysis course is a one-day training program for new to experienced X-ray operators. It uses our proprietary analytical process to prepare the operator to identify a wide variety of threats including knives, guns, and improvised explosive devices. The operator will also learn how to identify and classify unknown objects to prepare them for new and emerging threats. This course is suitable for all brands of X-ray systems. In this training we cover the safe use of X-ray systems, how to analyze x-ray images, and identifying knives, guns, and explosive devices. Each class includes several exercises to improve the operator’s skill and confidence.
We offer a five-day training program for both our X-ray Image Analysis class and Metal Detection programs. This class covers adult education principles, developing the program of instruction, classroom delivery skills, and testing. This training is limited to five students. Each student must pass a written exam, graded teaching assignment, and a hands-on skills test to become certified.
The X-Ray Image Analysis Certification course is a two-day certification process for new to experienced X-ray operators.
Classroom training is often a challenge for operators. They have to absorb and retain large amounts of information in a short period of time. In order to improve retention and enhance skills, an instructor will remain with your operators while they are on duty providing a ready reference to help them move from the classroom to the real world.
Active shooter incidents have become all too prevalent in today’s society. We can teach how to spot the warning signs for such a threat and how to maintain consistent situational awareness. We provide training on the escape, evade, attack procedures for responding to an active shooter, as well as emergency stop the bleeding techniques. In addition, we can advise on proper response equipement.
The use of metal detectors is ubiquitous in the security industry, and it is also the most misused piece of equipment. We offer a one-day training program that focuses on understanding the strengths and weakness of both walk through metal detectors and handheld metal detectors. We cover safety, proper divesting procedures, proper use of both types of equipment, and special case scenarios such as the mobility impaired or religious items. This class includes extensive use of interactive and hands on training to perfect the students’ skills and build confidence.
Behavioral Assessment
Violence rarely happens in a vacuum. In the weeks, months, or even years leading up to an attack the potential attacker leaks information. These behavioral clues can help to identify potential problems long before they occur. Our behavioral detection program is a multi-day training program that teaches students on the human brain works and how to harness that information to recognize cues from the world around them. It also teaches them how to understand leaked behavior from potential adversaries. It also teaches them how to evaluate this leakage to recognize changes in their environment. It also prepares them to develop early intervention strategies to keep them left of the bang.
Screening is a perishable skill and operators are unlikely to encounter high risk threat items on a routine basis. Refresher training is a best practice, and it allows operators to retrain on their skills in a safe environment. Refresher training also allows operators to learn about new threats and new techniques. Refresher training covers all of our courses and can be provided in a custom format to meet your requirements.
